SIVOS has an impressive track record of raising money for the community through our Soroptimist Thrift Shop located in "Thrift Shop Row" at 107th and Peoria Avenues in Sun City. Since the shop opened 27 years ago, we have donated over $1 million, largely from shop proceeds.
The bright and cheerful shop is tended to by a staff of six full and part time employees, and an army of volunteers, including club members who volunteer on an average three hours a month. Shoppers can always find bargains in clothing, housewares, small appliances, linens, and furniture, and many become regulars, checking out the shop weekly for new and interesting finds. Delivery of larger items can be arranged for a nominal fee.
Donations of gently used items are the lifeblood of the shop. They are accepted Monday through Saturday, 9am to 4pm. Pick-up of donations can also be arranged.
